Al Hosn app is the official UAE app for health testing related to COVID 19. It provides you with access to test results and notifies you if you have contacted confirmed cases of COVID 19. Using a health color coding system, Al Hosn will help identify and allow those free from COVID 19 to go to public spaces and workplaces.

Under the Green Pass system, only those individuals whose status is ‘green’ on the Al Hosn app, will be permitted to enter public places in Abu Dhabi. It aims to ease restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and enhance safe movement in the country. For more information, please refer to United Arab Emirates government portal here.

You need to be fully vaccinated or officially exempted from vaccination to obtain the Green Status. Please follow the steps in Section 2 for Vaccinated or Officially Exempt Travellers and travelling from a Green List or Non Green List country, to make sure you have the Green Status on Al Hosn app.

Only fully vaccinated travellers with a negative PCR test and a Green Status updated on Al Hosn app can have access to public spaces in Abu Dhabi.

There are different options available to verify the green status for visitors and guests as mentioned below:

• Visit Al Hosn app to check the latest status of COVID-19 test (PCR test) results.

• Visit Al Hosn webpage m.alhosnapp.ae to check the latest status of COVID-19 test (PCR test) results.

• SMS (for Etisalat users): Send the letter (R) followed by a space followed by the unified ID number or Emirates ID number to the number '6336' and the latest update of the test result will be obtained.

• For Etisalat users, make a mobile phone call to the number *48 followed by the unified ID number or Emirates ID number, then the # sign, and press ‘call’, to show the user the last result of the test.

Children under 16 have a green status on Al Hosn app without the requirement to do any PCR test or show proof of vaccination.

You need to follow the steps below:

• Validate your vaccination or your exemption certificate in Abu Dhabi, at least five days before your travel date. Download the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship (ICA UAE Smart) app or visit the ica.gov.ae website to complete the 'Register Arrivals Form' and attach your vaccination certificate(s) for approval.

• An SMS will confirm approval of the registration form and vaccination certificates and include a link to download Al Hosn app, which enables you to show test results and vaccination status. Use Al Hosn app to enter public places in Abu Dhabi, which is limited to those vaccinated.

• Take a PCR test within 48 hours* of departure from origin destination and only fly if the test result is negative.

• If you are travelling from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Liberia, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Vietnam or Zambia, you must also take an additional Rapid PCR test no more than six hours before your flight from the origin airport. You are exempt from the rapid test requirement if you are a UAE national, diplomat or Golden/Silver visa holder.

*Important: Children under 12 and those with medical exemptions do not need to undergo COVID-19 PCR testing before departure.

You need to follow the steps below:

1. You need a negative PCR test result from within 48 hours of departure. Please print your test result or present the lab report for validation at the airport.

2. Upon arrival in Abu Dhabi, you will receive a Unified ID number from airport immigration or via the ICA UAE Smart app or ica.gov.ae website; this is required to complete the registration on Al Hosn app.

3. You will also need to take a free PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International airport, with the result received within 90 minutes.

4. You can then depart the airport and wait in your accommodation for the results.

5. If the result is negative, Al Hosn app will automatically show ‘green’ status.

6. You will need to do an additional PCR test on Day 4 (counting the day of arrival as day 1) and on Day 8 of your stay in Abu Dhabi.

7. No quarantine requirement for fully vaccinated tourists with negative PCR test result.

8. Children under 12 years and individuals with official exemptions do not need to take a PCR test upon arrival.

There are no border restrictions or COVID test results needed to enter Abu Dhabi from other UAE emirates. Green status on the Al Hosn app is still required to access public places in Abu Dhabi.

In case your Al Hosn app is not working, you’re required to show a printed or digital copy of your vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test (validity 30 days.). You can check via email, SMS or visit m.Alhosnapp.ae to check your latest PCR test result.

Register any time before you fly via the ICA Smart Travel Service (Download the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship (ICA UAE Smart) app or visit the ica.gov.ae – this does not apply to UAE nationals or transit guests. When you’ve registered, you’ll receive a QR code by email. Take a PCR test within 48 hours of departure from origin destination and only fly if the test result is negative.

*Important: Children under 12 and those with medical exemptions do not need to undergo COVID-19 PCR testing before departure.

Added to your negative PCR Test result from within 48 hours of departure, you will have to take a free PCR test done on arrival at the airport, with no need to quarantine. An additional PCR test on Day 6 (counting the day of arrival as day 1) and on Day 9 of your stay in Abu Dhabi will be required.

You need to follow the steps below:

• On arrival into Abu Dhabi International Airport, download and register on Al Hosn app, available in all smart phone app stores.

• Take a free PCR test at Abu Dhabi International Airport and receive the result in approximately 90 minutes through the Al Hosn app and via SMS.

• Depart the airport and quarantine at your accommodation for 10 days.

• Take a PCR test at a SEHA Prime Testing Facility on Day 9.

Yes, protective face masks must be worn at all times whilst on Yas Island, except when you're at a table in one of our dining spots.

We have arranged tables and seating following social distancing guidelines, so that you can remove your protective face coverings whilst you eat.

We advise our guests to limit the amount of cash use and we encourage contactless payments across all attractions and venues.
